The method of automatically filling of metal powder by volumetric cold press has many advantages. But in order to put this process in practice, the difficulties exist including the powder being too fine to flow hardly and excessive wear of the parts of cold press. Considering the characteristics of metal powder and multi-layer segments or sandwich segments of the domestic diamond saw blade（segments）. a number of technical measures are applied to help achieving the volumetric cold pressing without granulating of metal powder. This article describes the technical measures, the structural and functional characteristics, the practical effect development of the volumetric cold press in order to realize the new technology in details. In addition, a number of new ideas are discussed for further development and promotion of this new technology and the equipments required.
